Market Record
A sourced report on the market around your business.
Methodology
How the report is built
Local baseline. Population (July 2025 estimate), occupied households (2021 Census) and employer business locations in your industry (June 2026), for your municipality's exact boundaries.
Readiness score. How ready your website, Google profile, reviews and tracking are to turn attention into enquiries.
Budget estimate. A slider shows roughly what each monthly ad budget could bring in, from published ad benchmarks for your industry in Canadian dollars, plus the smallest budget that makes it work.
Next steps. Three actions chosen from your industry, goal and current setup.
Coverage
All 577 Ontario municipalities, with business counts across 60 industries where Statistics Canada publishes them.
Sources: Statistics Canada population estimates, 2021 Census of Population, and Canadian Business Counts.

Questions
Common questions
- Is the Market Record free?
- Yes. Answer five short sections, then enter your name and email to unlock it. Phone is optional.
- Where do the numbers come from?
- Statistics Canada: July 2025 population estimates, 2021 Census occupied dwellings, and June 2026 employer business locations by industry, for your exact municipality. Each report shows its sources.
- What if my town isn't listed?
- Every Ontario municipality is included. If a figure isn't published for your area, the report says so. We never substitute a neighbouring city's numbers.
- Does the report predict my sales?
- It gives an estimate range, not a promise: move the budget slider to see roughly how many visitors, enquiries and customers a monthly ad budget could bring, based on published ad benchmarks for your industry.
- How is the readiness score worked out?
- From your website, Google profile, reviews and lead tracking. Your ad budget doesn't change the score.
